Regional Australia faces more challenges than our metropolitan cousins.
That's why The Regional Development Company thrives on bringing the right resources, knowledge and expertise together; acting as a key driving force in the growth of regional communities.
From local, state and federal governments and agencies, to regional development bodies, tourism organisations, community groups and industry associations - they all have different goals. That's where we come in: to give it structure, develop the right processes and bring it all together to make it happen.
Our five key development sectors are:
Regional Development To create and revitalise sustainable regional development, we scope and plan economic and tourism development strategies, undertake feasibility studies and master plans, liaise with governments and produce funding submissions.
Community Engagement To strengthen, engage and create ownership of projects within communities, we devise action plans, implement leadership programs, develop consultation and renewal processes, and advise on networking and partnership development.
Natural Resources and Agriculture To maintain and manage natural resources, we develop management strategies and systems, profile regional agricultural industries, identify opportunities for growth, as well as establish local landholder industry groups and forums.
Organisational Change To assist organisations in coping with the challenges of change, we can provide "governance training and advice for community based organisations, boards and local Councils, assistance with clarifying board directions, annual and strategic planning for organisations, reviews and performance evaluations and conduct of staff development workshops and training.
Health and Education With health and education both vital to sustainable regional living, we work with key players on strategies for regional health and adult education, link your community into national learning networks and provide community training where identified.
